These terms apply when you buy from sugargecko.com. Please read them together with our Shipping policy, Refund policy and Privacy policy, which form part of these terms.

Your order

When you place an order, we email you an order confirmation. Our contract with you starts when we send that email. If we cannot make or supply your item, for example because a design breaks these terms, we will tell you and refund you in full.

Prices and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. If we have made an obvious pricing mistake, we will contact you before we make your order, and you can choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Personalised items

  • We make personalised items using the names, text, photos, logos and other details you give us. Please check spellings, dates and files carefully before you order and before you approve any proof.
  • If we send you a proof, we start making your item once you approve it. We are not responsible for mistakes in details you gave us or in a proof you approved.
  • You must own, or have permission to use, any photo, logo or design you send us. We may decline designs that use other people's trademarks, brand names or copyrighted characters, or that are offensive or unlawful. If we decline your design, we will refund you in full.
  • Small differences in colour, thread, wood grain or engraving between the screen and the finished item are normal for made-to-order products.

Making and delivery

We deliver to UK addresses only. Making times, delivery options and what to do if a parcel is late are set out in our Shipping policy.

Cancellations, returns and faulty items

Personalised and made-to-order items cannot be returned for a change of mind. Items that are not personalised can be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, we will remake, replace or refund it. Full details are in our Refund policy.

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. If you buy for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.

Using our website

Please do not misuse our website, for example by trying to gain unauthorised access, introducing viruses or copying our content without permission. The text, photos and designs on this website belong to Sugar Gecko Ltd unless stated otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on this page when you placed it.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
